The role of the Account Director is integral in growing Zones’ existing customer accounts and driving new business to meet growth targets and develop the EMEA and global Sales operation. Our Account Directors are the trusted partners of our customers.
POSITION OVERVIEW :
Business Development; the ability to manage one’s own area with autonomy and an entrepreneurial approach.
Relationship Management; maintaining a solid relationship with our customers and introducing additional Zones support where necessary; i.e. Solutions, services, pre-sales.
Industry Innovation; communicating and understanding industry trends and new innovation.
Achieving set target figures, founded on customer base and growth expectation.
New Business Initiative; actively prospect new business opportunities with the goal of a face to face meeting to present Zones capabilities.
Active Business Development; proactively develop an existing book of accounts, creating sales strategies and accounts plans to grow area.
Accurate Forecasting and Pipeline Management; knowing the numbers is key, and a healthy pipeline will lead to success.
5* Customer Service; delivering and maintaining a high level of customer service and satisfaction is imperative to the customer experience.
Sales Cadence; consistency in sales cadence including customer interaction / communication, account plans, selling solutions, customer growth.
Customer Presentation skills; presentation collation and material (using Zones cadence) with the confidence and ability to deliver at all levels of management.
Business Relationships: confident and able to establish strong relationships with key vendors and partners to support solution selling.
WE’RE SEEKING CANDIDATES WITH THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Bachelor’s degree in general / global business, sales and / or marketing, or related field preferred.
Appropriate Vendor accreditations would be advantageous
Prince II would be desirable but not essential
A minimum of 4-6 years Sales experience working with / at an IT reseller.
Demonstrative track record for successful Sales revenue and GP achievement, pipeline and opportunities.
Numerate with strong pricing analysis, analytical thinking, and strategic planning skills.
Advanced MS Office skills required, particularly Microsoft Excel.
Experience with Sage 200 desirable.
Capable of working as part of a team but also using own initiative.
High level of attention to detail required.
Candidates will possess excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to interact well with groups, a strong customer service orientation, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with little supervision.
Must work with a sense of urgency and excel in a dynamic, fast-paced growth environment.
Experience in business transformation within in an environment going through organisational change is highly desirable.
Additional languages could be an advantage. (e.g. French, German)
