The position functions in a Share Services role responsible for leading a team that supports the maintenance and service management of all Foot Locker stores and Corporate locations in Europe. This position works cross functionally with the North America finance teams. The position will be responsible for managing all expense and capital budgets including identifying savings opportunities related to facility spend. The role will be responsible for management of landlord and vendor relationships. Responsibilities also will include delivery of Health and Safety requirements according to the applicable local regulations and laws of the European Union.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction and planning in Facility Services for all European locations ensuring alignment with the global strategic objectives.
  • Management of Facilities Team onsite and remotely.
  • Maintain compliance with all Foot Locker procedures, policies, security and local regulations, and ensure timely response to regulatory issues and inspection findings.
  • Establish regular governance with key business leaders to anticipate and plan facilities organizational structure to accommodate growth and change in priorities.
  • Manage openings, closures, consolidations, or relocations working with global functional leaders, HR and Finance.
  • Knowledgeable about operation and use of HVAC, electrical, and lighting systems.
  • Able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality with respect to information concerning unannounced acquisitions and personnel discussions.
  • Responsible and accountable for the development of key strategic operational plans for the Facilities team and for ensuring that the functional initiatives are successfully managed, delivered on time and on budget with a high-quality outcome.
  • Responsible and accountable for developing of the function’s annual budget and management and execution of the same.
  • Protects each asset by determining clear guidelines, standards and criteria by which the Facilities Team can effectively execute against.
  • Coordinates all matters relating to implementing standards, streamline efficiencies and to maintain a high level of quality control throughout the life cycle of the store and office environments.
  • Implements a successful communication process that informs all departments when budget revisions and change directives occur.
  • Communicates to cross functional partners; creates and manages project timelines for project initiatives for division/functional deliverables. Track, follow up, and drives adherence to milestones to maintain timelines.
  • Communicates to all stakeholders the status of the projects, initiatives and proactively notify on a timely basis of any major issue.
  • Interacts with Real Estate and Legal on any related leasing issues.
  • Promotes and maintains ethical relationships with current and new suppliers or any company or individual soliciting business with the Foot Locker, Inc.
  • Evaluates vendor performance, products, financial stability and competitive pricing and ability to meet schedule demands and deadlines.

    Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of direct progressive experience in asset management with an international retailer.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to read Architectural and Engineering drawings.
  • Ability to convey ideas and concepts quickly to leadership and business partners.
  • Effective oral and written communication and the ability to interact with senior level executives.
  • Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of industry construction costs, means and methods of execution.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Acute sense of pop culture, retail, tech and design trends.
  • Ability to effectively present and communicate concepts to cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a team.
  • Strong background in driving accelerated timelines.
  • Demonstrate ability to proactively identify and escalate issues and process improvements.
  • Must have a valid passport and be willing to travel.
