You will be working nearby the city centre of Breda, on our newly renovated, sustainable campus where our specialised, small-scale institute is located. Here you will teach, supervise and develop course materials on subjects such as digital marketing (communication), e-business, digital innovation and consumer behaviour research.

In this job you will:
teach and develop courses together with your colleagues in the field of digital marketing (communication), e-business, digital innovation and consumer behaviour research;
coachand supervise students individually or in groups during graduation projects and/or work placements;
build on your existing network within the travel and tourism industry and participate in important network meetings where you will represent our academy. These connections are essential in keeping the knowledge requirements within our field of work up to date.
In this position, you will get the opportunity to guide and support smart and highly committed young people in the process of becoming the next generation of professionals in Tourism.
What do we offer?
The salary for this position amounts to a monthly minimum of € 3.658,64 and a maximum of € 5,026.85 (gross amounts based on full-time employment);
This position is valued at level 11 of the CAO HBO (collective labour agreement).Your official job title will be that ofa lecturer;
You will be appointed to this position for one year. Are both parties satisfied after one year? Then we will extend your appointment;
Your commuting expenses will be fully reimbursed when you travel by public transport;
You will receive compensation for health insurance;
You will also be awarded professional development hours every year and almost eleven weeks of holiday entitlements in a full-time position;
You will be working on a green and sustainable campus near the city centre of Breda;
Moving from abroad to Breda in the Netherlands? We provide support and financial reimbursements in the case of relocation and settling-in in the Netherlands. Dutch tax authorities may offer tax reduction to applicants from abroad (which makes tax rates comparable to the UK and US).
What do we ask of you?
You are passionate about your work and would like to share this passion with our students and others. You have creative and fresh ideas on how to share this information and knowledge;
You have teaching experience within higher or university education or are willing to obtain a didactics certificate;
You have practical knowledge of digital marketing communications principles and practice, and are up to date with the latest trends, technologies and developments affecting the travel and tourism industry;
You are open togetting involved in knowledge development through applied research. Experience in professional and/or academic publications is a plus;
You have a broad national and international network or are willing to develop external networks which enables you to stay connected with the field and keep you up-to-date with latest developments in the tourism industry;
You will be working in an international and intercultural setting. Therefore, having excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are a necessity.
